A Brand New Era!
Martin Waterson playing a Church Pipe Organ for a local funeral service created ‘I Do’ Music Services, as a service to Music on the 2nd January 1994. Somewhat of a low-key creation for a company, but everything has to start somewhere. From that day 'I Do' Music Services or IDMS for short, has grown from strength to strength, in providing a service of music for the religious community. Then over the summer of 1999, a new door opened to the services. The first piano student taught under the direction of Martin. Slowly their services grew in leaps and bounds over the years, Martin is well known in and around Bolton, where he grew up. Every summer was busy with weddings in and around his home parish. Concerts performed all over the North West of England.
Between 1994 and 2007, Martin continued to work study and grow on the vision that 'I Do' Music Service will become a successful enterprise and provide a service to both the community and the prospect pupils in the years to come. Whilst working, Martin continued to offer a liturgical service every Sunday morning, and playing for the odd wedding throughout the summer periods. Due to work restrictions, this is all what Martin was available to offer. However, over this period, Martin has created a mutual foundation for IDMS in the services and the professional touch offered.
2008 welcomes a brand new era for 'I Do' Music Services, and from the years of planning to ensure the true focus of Martin's original dream. For the first time 'I Do' Music Services will offer a full time service towards the Tuition of Music and the Liturgical offerings already sown.
There are many plans, and many ideas in the pipeline to expand on that original dream back in 1994. From the 1st January 2008, Martin will offer the service of Organist to those who require it during the day. In addition, Martin will look upon the Tuition, offering music lessons to those who wish to learn the Piano, Organ or Flute.
